I have breast cancer and am undergoing chemo. Mine is a very aggressive form and I am afraid to quit chemo, but want to start the HD Recovery diet. I have started juicing and have ordered BarlyeMax. Do I juice only or do I still eat raw foods at lunch and supper? I am not quiet sure of the plan to follow for the recovery program. I am 45 and this is my 2nd go round with breast cancer in 3 years. I have 8 children, the youngest is 4 and I want to be around to see my precious ones grow up! Please can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Mom of 8

I will put the recovery diet down and then explain it.

http://www.hacres.com/hallelujah-diet/recovery-diet

Those on the recovery diet can have a green salad at lunch and dinner. Since you are taking chemo. I have doubts about going on an all green juice fast as some do. (only) Remember no fruit or sweets, meat or dairy etc. You can have stevia for sweet.

By the way, what juicer are you using?

thanks for your reply. I had seen the recovery plan online. I am just a little unclear on a few things. I only do barleymax and vegetable juicing, can have raw foods at lunch and supper? Can I have any fruit at all or should I stay completely away from that? I have a Hamilton Beeach Juicer, nothing expensive.
Thanks, Mom of 8

Dear Mommy of 8,

I am so sorry to hear of your suffering. I believe you have come to the right place. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer a couple weeks ago, so I am going through a very trying time too. My husband has only me and my 18 year old son. You have 8 children, so my heartfelt prayers pour out to you.

I am too new to all of this to give you advice myself, but this wonderful forum has given me much information and encouragement already. If you click on my name "Amazing Grace" then click on "search user's posts" which is under "Total posts", you can read my posts and the forums responses. After only one week I am seeing improvement in my husband's condition! I hope in this way to encourage you to do everything you can to fight off this terrible disease, in Jesus name, Amen!

My prayers will continue to be lifted up for you and your family. I hope you will post your progress and specific prayer requests, so we will know how better to pray for you.

In our Father's Love and His Amazing Grace

Yes, you will get lots of information that has been given to Amazing Grace.

No fruit!!! Maybe a small granny smith apple if you cant take the green juice, but not other fruit!!!

Praying for you, mom of 8. I am a mom of 7, your age, and my youngest is 7. I cannot imagine myself in your shoes, but I can pray wholeheartedly. I have seen God heal cancer (my son) and I have seen so many awesome testimonies of how God has used this diet to heal others with cancer. Believing the best for you!

Praying for you,
-Tracy

I would appreciate all of your prayers. We Are a homeschooling family and my husband is a minister. We are so thankful for our wonderful church family, I don't know how those without Christ make it through things like this.
I have chemo tomorrow. The cancer came back as a rash on my chest, under my arm, and a little on my back. It has cleared up quite a bit on my chest and back, but it is still pretty bad under my arm. Satan tries to keep throwing those fiery darts at me and make me think it is hopless, my 7 year old prays every day that God will help Mommy keep up her shield of faith.
I know there is always Hope in Christ. Please keep me in your prayers.
My concern with this diet is my weight, I am 5'5" and weigh about 105, I don't have the weight to lose. What do I do to keep the weight on?

In His Grip,
Mom of 8

To answer your question.

avocados, nuts, seeds, grains, butternut squash, parsnips, rutabaga, olive oil, hemp seed, chia seed, flax seed, Raw Tahini, Grapeseed oil Vegenaise (not raw), Almond Butter (if you can find it truly raw) and Miso
