While I didn't think we would get the results until Monday they called us not an hour after the MRI to give us partial results! They wanted us to go immediately to orthopedics and were calling to get an appointment for us.... but it turned out they had closed already (and it wasn't even 4 o'clock yet!!). So they are sending us to Scottish Rite in Atlanta.
Partial results revealed a fracture to the end of the femur (could be tibia but I swear they said femur) ... it is disguised on x-ray because of where it is located. I saw the x-ray and it looked clean (I've had plenty of fractures). It also revealed a bruised bone, strained gastro muscle, and of course a lot of fluid. I asked what it said about the nerves but they hadn't gotten that far yet in the report before they called. They said to ask about that specifically at the er at scottish rite since she is still having issues moving her toes. It may be a separate toe issue but they will be looking to see when we get there. (Dad is on the way with her right now, while I wait on all kids to get home and get them ready for Unction tonight before we head that way.)
Luckily she has a head start on healing by changing her eating habits! Well I'll update when there is something to update ... probably not til tomorrow though.
Any prayers for a speedy and less painful healing would be most appreciated ... seems like Unction is coming at the perfect time

Okay, I'll just have to fess up ignorance here....umction???
We are praying for a speedy healing for DD. I know this will take some time, but she will get through this fine. She is a trooper. You may have to get her some good books to keep her mind occupied, or maybe when she feels good start her on uncooking lessons.
Have a blessed day and get good results.

Very sorry to hear about your DD. I saw your message on last night and have set her before God.
I was reading a passage this morning. It is Acts 14:9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul observing him intently and seeing that he had FAITH to be healed,,,,
This man had deep down core FAITH. Not just, oh, I believe it could happen. Because of this deep seeded core FAITH look what happened. Acts 14:10 said with a loud voice,"Stand up straight on your feet!" And he leaped and walked.
Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever.

What a wonderful thing for a beautiful Faith!

That is what Holy Unction is ... it is a healing service of an annointing of healing oils (an annointing is misleading - it is 7 annointings). Only problem is, she and I didn't get to attend. We thought it was gonna be quick, then a "worser" emergency came in that required surgery, so we sorta had to wait for hours. At least the rest of the family got to attend though.
Now she has a beautiful blue hip to ankle cast with her leg flexed/bent so as she can't accidentally put any pressure on her femur.
No other damage was read off the MRI. Blessing right there! Glad she couldn't stomach any pressure because if pressure had been put on it then she could have shattered her femur due to where the fracture is ... hence why they wanted us in to see ortho immediately - they didn't want that happening!
We will go back in 2 weeks for a check up and they will determine if she will go to a knee immobilizer... or if she will stay in a cast. Now the prayer is, that I will be able to teach her in a homebound program because she will not be able to sit in the desks at school simply due to the nature of the cast she has with all it's angles. If they will not approve homebound even though they are supposed to, then we will be homeschooling! Not sure which is best, but the LORD does!!
It is so good she started eating right when she did. Now just continue on and she will be out of that cast in no time. Wont even have to be concerned about schooling.

I'm glad to hear that your daughter is doing good and that it wasn't to bad. I hope you'll be able to homschool her. I know I love having my children home with me and being able to feed them a raw/vegan diet is icing on the cake
