If you are more of a book type person, there is a lot of good info in Rhonda Malkmus' book Recipees from God's Garden. Only about half the book is recipees, the other is info, plus you can look at what some of the recipees look like as well.

I definitely agree, free. Recipes for Life is a great book to start with.
Of course, Joy, if you don't want to purchase a book at this point, there is plenty of free info on hacres.com, as beany listed for you.
Begin by purchasing the BarleyMax, B-FLax-D, and digestive enzymes. These 3 products are the basic essentials and will propel you to being more energetic.
If you can afford a juicer, buy that as your first appliance. If all you can afford is a cheaper juicer, that is fine. You can always upgrade. You need to juicer to get those living enzymes and nutrition straight to the cellular level. That will help your fatigue, and will help to minimize cravings.
A blender is great, too. Cheaper will work, though not as well. But it will work for now. Get what you can afford. You will use the blender to make smoothies.
The Hallelujah diet plan is very simple and extremely effective for weight loss. Beany gave you links to the plan.
Joy, if you can start on the plan cold turkey, that would be the best. Typically, you should experience a surge in your energy level in 3 to 5 days if you are following the plan 100%. It's like a natural high!
Stay on the forums for support. And look for a health minister in your area. You can call Hallelujah Acres for that information.
Stay in prayer. God wants you healthy but you need to take the first step!

Sheila is right - if you go full force into the H. Diet you'll be better off because you'll start noticing the results immediately (within 2 or 3 days). Do you mind if I ask you about being overweight? Do you recognize whether you're an emotional eater?
Change, to be permanent, needs to start on the inside. Awareness of why you're overweight, renewing your mind around food, and shifting your mindset from one of an overweight person to that of a thin person are all necessary to permanently losing weight.
Blessings,

I am confused! I was waiting to get a list of what I need for the week in my email! I start tomorrow (Monday) and have nothing. Where do I start to see what I need..I have the juicer, blender, and dehydrater. I'll look back to see what to do in the morning!

Louise, the list is on the 60 Days Website. Sign in and click on your challenge. On the printables page, you'll find a list of printable PDF documents such as your weekly shopping list, the getting started checklist and a journal.

I keep waiting for an email as I'm supposed to be on day 3! I thought maybe I didn't sign up but this is what I get..so if I have an account why am I not getting anything in my email? Your form has the following error: Invalid email address! (email address removed by Admin) is already associated with an account.

Louise, I looked up your account. You have registered for an account, but did not sign up for one of the two challenges. You must select the challenge you want to do and choose a start date to begin receiving messages and videos.
Also, it's never a good idea to post your email address on the forum. Spammers can see that and start sending you all kinds of unwanted mail. I'm going to edit your post to remove that.

I am so pleased this forum is here and excited about actually starting the diet. I have not quite finished reading all of Hallelujah 101 and was already convinced that food is the root of our health problems. I would appreciate answers to a couple of questions that bother me a bit.
My husband will be joining me on this venture and we both have fussy stomachs. I am concerned about the side effects of the cleansing process and wonder if that is an absolute necessity for starting this diet. I have read all the possible side effects and wonder what is in the product used to make it happen. Will he need to take off work to go through this process?
I don't know if I want to jump in to this diet buy going out and spending a fortune for equipment that might go on Craigs List later. The juicer seems to be the greatest expense and I have located a BBB approved website with a GreenStar 1000 for $355. I have also located the same juicer through Craigs List, and they are willing to ship it to me before I pay, for approximately $125.00.
I am trying to get all my ducks in a row and be prepared to begin the diet and not leave any door opened to return to the SAD way of eating.
